Completed in 1996 by American Bridge, the Long Beach Freeway Bridge Retrofit project involved seismic retrofitting of the 710 freeway bridge over the Los Angeles River, including installing 410 CY of reinforced concrete on piers and abutments, adding 185 tons of steel brackets and restrainers, and cleaning/painting existing steel.
