Completed in 1986 by American Bridge, the Las Vegas Airport Expansion project consisted of the first expansion of McCarran International Airports main terminal. American Bridge had a contract with Christopher Steel to furnish labor, equipment, and all other necessary items to receive, unload, sort, and erect the steel. AB was involved extensively with scheduling, project coordination, and steel erection, including baggage handling facilities, pedestrian bridges from the terminal to the parking structure, and erecting the space frame roof for the parking structure. The projects construction manager was Bechtel Corporation, and the general contractor was McCarthy.
