Completed in 2022 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Integrated Pipeline (IPL) Section 17 Trinity River Tunnel Crossing Project consisted of approximately 11,800 linear feet of 108-inch water line. Scope of work included install of the 108-inch water line and pipeline appurtenances (3,400 linear feet was located in the tunnel under the Trinity River and remainder was installed via opencut), installation of cathodic protection system, precast manholes, base work, paving, and various site, civil and roadway improvements. Extensive dewatering was also required for the shafts.
