Completed in 1972 by American Bridge, the ICRR Bridges, Little Calumet River project consisted of multiple truss and girder bridges, including bridge #16-9, a steel girder bridge at Acme Bend, and a through truss bridge on the IC mainline for the Illinois Central Railroad (now Canadian National Railway).
