Completed in 1964 by American Bridge, the Houston Astrodome project consisted of a 710′ diameter domed stadium featuring nine-story circular fixed stands, two sections of movable stands, and a 641′ 8″ diameter tension ring roof system. It was the first enclosed multi-purpose stadium.
