Completed in 1969 by American Bridge, the Helium Centennial Time Columns project consisted of the fabrication and erection of a 70′ high triangular structure constructed from stainless steel pipe. The monument was sealed with helium gas and built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of helium.
