Completed in 1999 by Southland Contracting, the Fortuna – IH30/Summit/North/Rio Grande Project consisted of approximately 655 linear feet of 52-inch tunnel by Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and approximately 342 linear feet of 50-inch tunnel by TBM.
