Completed in 2005, the FDOT Hurricane Emergency Work – Brevard County (H-5145) SR 5 & Hwy 1 / Malabar Road project was spread out over a 13-mile section of Hwy 1. We had 60 days to do $7.4 million of work. Demo damaged area, clear and grub all tress and debris, Repair slope and revetments, repair all areas washed out by hurricane storm surge. Add embankment, rubble rip rap, gabions, concrete sidewalks, guardrail, MOT, erosion control & turbidity, grassing & sodding, utilities, drainage, excavation, drainage structures, shoulder gutters, and stripping.
