Completed in 1914 by American Bridge, the Electric Transmission Towers project consisted of the fabrication and erection of 824 power transmission towers spanning the railroad right of way, which are still in use today. The single-track structures have a 22′ span, while the double-track structures have a 36′ span, and all are 40′ high. A total of 4,960 tons of structural steel were used, with the fabrication done at the Trenton Plant.
