Completed in 2013 by American Bridge, the Courtney Campbell Causeway Multi-Use Trail project involved constructing a 3,200LF pedestrian bridge with 29 spans in Old Tampa Bay, adjacent to State Route 60. The project included partial demolition and extension of the existing fender system, with piers supported by 24 precast piling and a cast-in-place deck on precast concrete girders. Additional work included a 1,400LF concrete sheet piling wall, tiebacks, rip rap revetment, two MSE walls, and the reconstruction of 3.5 miles of mixed-use trail.
