Completed in 1992 by American Bridge, the Cos Cob Drawbridge project involved the rehabilitation of six deck truss spans and the main bascule span of a 4-track, 9-span railroad bridge (totaling 886′). Work included structural steel repairs, bearing replacement, catenary tower and foundation replacement, and a new transformer building, all completed under active track conditions.
