Completed in 2023 by American Bridge, the West Virginia Corridor H project extended US 48 with 7.5 miles of new four-lane highway, five mainline bridges, and access roads. Partnering with Kokosing, AB handled the complex erection of five plate girder bridges, ranging from 600 to 1,000 feet in length. Construction, largely within the Monongahela National Forest, included measures to minimize environmental impact. ABs in-house engineering developed erection methods, falsework design, and crane logistics to ensure safe and efficient bridge assembly.
