Completed in 2012 by American Bridge, the Coosa River Bridge Phase 2 project involved repainting two 30 high-pressure natural gas pipeline suspension bridges across the Coosa River, which remained in use during the project. The work included paint removal, pipe cleaning, and repainting of suspended pipelines and support beams, with some coatings containing lead. Temporary rigging was used to support the pipes for cleaning and repainting, and floor beam connections were disassembled.
