Completed in 1983 by American Bridge, the Conrail Pier No. 124 project consisted of modernization and expansion to triple coal handling capacity, including construction of a 1,400-ton shiploader, marine foundations, conveyor systems, pier caps, and rail car dumps. American Bridge was the general contractor and self-performed key structural and marine work.
