Completed in 2014 by American Bridge, the Columbus Road Lift Bridge – Fab project consisted of rehabilitating a vertical lift bridge over the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio. The work included replacing a 250′ lift span truss, all operating equipment, approach spans, building new machinery and operator houses, re-plumbing and refurbishing existing towers, counterweight boxes, and piers, and installing new electrical, bridge control, and fender systems along the navigation channel.
