Completed in 1963 by American Bridge, the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge project consisted of fabricating and erecting a 1,148′ bridge with a 700′ box chord deck arch main span over a 400′ gorge northeast of Santa Barbara, CA. The bridge was erected using a special cableway designed by American Bridge, with cableway towers also serving as tieback towers for the uncompleted arch.
