Charleroi-Monessen Bridge Replacement

Completed in 2012 by American Bridge, the Charleroi-Monessen Bridge Replacement project involved replacing a historic three-span through-truss bridge over the Monongahela River and CSX railroad tracks. The new connection was made with haunched steel girders. Work included unloading, transporting, and erecting new structural steel and bearings using barge-mounted and land-based cranes, along with supplying and installing temporary falsework supports.
