Chalmette Port Rehabilitation

Completed in 2003 by Johnson Bros. Corporation, Chalmette Port Rehabilitation project included the removal and replacement of approximately 1,400 linear feet of warehouse and dock in phases at the Chalmette slip on the Mississippi River. Construction took place half at a time while keeping the port open for business. Demoed half the warehouse, then the deck, drove new piles, poured new deck, and constructed a new warehouse all while keeping the other half open for business. After completing Phase 1, we turned around and used the same process to complete Phase 2.
