Completed in 2023 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Capers Ridge Pump Station and Raw Water Intake: Luce Bayou Interbasin Transfer Project consisted of constructing the main intake structure that consisted of 8 vertical suction pumps, bar screens and stop gates, and installation of 1,100 linear feet of 96-inch steel pipe and related appurtenances. Additional work included construction of five support buildings, a control building, a maintenance building, two main disconnect buildings and an electrical building.
