Completed in 1928 by American Bridge, the 3,413-foot Cape Girardeau Bridge over the Mississippi River features a 1,342-foot continuous through truss, six 324-foot truss spans, deck girder spans, a concrete viaduct, and an east embankment, using 4,457 tons of steel.
