Completed in 2004 by Southland Contracting, the Buttercup Creek Interceptor Project consisted of installing approximately 2,105 linear feet of tunnel for 36-inch fiberglass reinforced pipe, 1,035 linear feet of open cut ranging in size from 6-inch to 36-inch. Depths exceeded 45 feet. Southland Contracting encountered groundwater and set up dewatering systems to properly divert the groundwater.
