Completed in 1995 by American Bridge, the Broadway/Jamaica Line project involved rehabilitating the Broadway/Jamaica and Myrtle Avenue elevated transit lines. Work included replacing 1,450 expansion joints, repairing 160 tons of stringer flange angles, and 400 column bases. Fresh Pond Station was also rehabilitated with platform and track replacements, concrete repairs, and waterproofing. The seven-mile structure, supporting 18 miles of track, was originally built in 1890 and expanded in 1915.
