Completed in 1990 by Mole Constructors, the Broadview Road Relief Interceptor Project project entailed about 7,000 linear feet of tunneling using a Robbins 96-inch Tunnel Boring Machine. The tunnel accommodated 72-inch reinforced concrete pipe and traversed through shale and limestone at depths varying from 30 feet to 110 feet.
