Completed in 1993 by Mole Constructors, the Bluestone Contract BTRS-1 project involved the construction of a tunnel stretching over approximately 16,200 linear feet to accommodate 60-inch concrete pipe. The excavation was carried out through shale at depths ranging from 60 feet to 100 feet.
