Completed in 2010 by Southland Contracting, the Blue River No. 26 – Contract 1 Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Tunnel Project consisted of the excavation of approximately 3,332 linear feet of 96-inch tunnel for 60-inch fiberglass reinforced pipe (FRP) using ribs and lagging as primary liner. Work also includes 1,582 linear feet of 8-inch pipe installation by open-cut, 10 manhole installation, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, landscaping and erosion control.
