Bi-County Water Tunnel

Completed in 2014 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Bi-County Water Tunnel project consisted of approximately 28,000 linear feet of 120-inch diameter deep rock tunnel through bedrock at depths ranging from 180 feet to 300 feet deep. Installation, welding and backfill of 84-inch steel water main. This project includes 3 shafts ranging from 16 feet, 25 feet, and 40 feet in diameter with depths of up to 180 feet deep. Traffic control, barricades and flagger service associated with work around shafts. Site restoration to include sidewalk, curb and gutter, concrete paving and landscaping.
