Completed in 1926 by American Bridge, the Benjamin Franklin Bridge superstructure project involved fabricating and erecting the 3,253′ stiffening truss, the 1,622′ Philadelphia approach, and the 1,750′ Camden approach, totaling 41,110 tons of steel. Towers and cables were by others.
