Completed in 1926 by American Bridge, the Andy Warhol Bridge (Seventh Street Bridge) project consisted of a self-anchored, eye-bar suspension bridge—one of the nearly identical “Three Sisters” bridges. The structure features 14″ eye-bars with 4″ eye-bar suspenders and triple web plate girders that handle both bending and compression. All three bridges were fabricated and erected by American Bridge, which used an innovative cantilever method by temporarily converting the system into a truss, eliminating the need for falsework in the river.
