Completed in 1990 by American Bridge, the Ambassador Bridge Maintenance project (1987-1990) included extensive steel repairs, stringer and floor beam replacements, suspender rope bolt replacements, main cable maintenance, and re-bolting of cable castings, with crews working in both the U.S. and Canada.
