Completed in 2016 by American Bridge, the Atchafalaya Pipeline Bridge project involved a 4,678′ bridge with a 2,000′ mainspan carrying two 30″ high-pressure gas pipelines. The scope included reprofiling the bridge, adjusting suspender lengths for a smooth camber, replacing the electrical system, installing new navigation lights and aerial beacons, and performing structural repairs and safety improvements.
