Completed in 2011 by Mole Constructors, Inc., The Jollyville Transmission Main WTP4 Tunnel is an 84-inch lined transmission main tunnel; approximately 35,000 feet in length. The final 84-inch lining was PCCP water transmission pipe. Three Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) were used for the tunnel excavation. The WTP4 Access Shaft was a 210-foot-deep drilled drop shaft that was oversized to 13-ft diameter for removal of the TBM in sections.
